How do I find out what kind of differentials I have

Can someone assist me in finding out what type of diffs and gears I have in my truck? I have a 1994 chevy silverado ext cab. 4X4 with the 5.7L engine and 4L60E transmission.

If it's a half ton it should have an 8.5" IFS front. Rear is either a 8.5" 10 bolt or possibly a 9.5" 14 bolt SF. Count the number of bolts on the rear diff cover to find out. 10 is a 10 bolt and 14 is a 14 bolt

The 14 SF is a decent rear, and IIRC as put under the truck that got the factory towing package.
