Replacing the doors

Here's a question..during the mid 80's Camaro and Trans Am/Firebirds, were practically the same car (interior wise, and some body parts.)
could you put a door off a firebird onto a camaro?

I'm asking this as the door on my 84 Camaro is rusted out along the bottom and it's really bad, however, almost every place around where i live that i can get a replacement door has ones in even worse condition, yet there are a few that have doors on firebirds that are still almost perfect.

so, would it work?

well since no one has replied, i'm gonna go ahead and give it a shot, i'll let y'all know how it went.
