no start 91 blazer

well hope you guys can help me here. I have a 91' blazer, 4.3 tbi, I went to the grocery store yesterday and it died in the parking lot. Has it towed home and did some digging around. I have lots of fuel pressure in the tb, and the 2 injectors are getting power(just checked with test light while cranking). No fuel coming from injectors(either one), truck starts right up with ether.......any help would be greatly appreciated....... Jason

Re: no start 91 blazer

Will it stay running after you start it on ether. If so I have one with the same problem and am searching for the repair..I will let you know if I come up with anything..

Re: no start 91 blazer

If it stays running after you start it w/ the ether then I'm 99% sure its the ignition module (in distributor). Had a '92 do this exact thing, luckily it was in the driveway. Seemed so odd at the time too, woudln't start at all on its own, yet give it 1 shot of fluid, and she'd fire right up and run fine. Shut it off and immediatly try a restart, no go unless I used ether again. Drove it to the shop, they did some tests and found it was the ign module. Not too bad to change, its under the rotor in the dist.
