i'm getting a set of the velox vx-8 b1 limited edition rims and some kumho ecsta tires. the rims are 18x7.5 and the tire are 225/40/18. i'm going with a 2-2.5" drop. will i rub? also whatis the offset on these rims?

i don't much about Civic's suspension set-up, but i know offset of rims is important factor if your will rub or not. so you need to find out offset those rims have.

BTW, 225/40/18 is way too big for your car. wheels will be a whole one inch higher that your stocks and that will make your car look 4x4.

you need 205/30/18 or 215/30/18, 205's is prefered size for your car.

the 42offset is right but the tire is too damn wide, and the profile like honda99 said is too high.
ESPECIALLY with a 2-2.5 inch drop

yes you will rub bad. that 18 and 7.5 is way to big with that much of a drop. unless you find some weird offset. get 17s 18s will be way to heavy.
