Actually the second GTR is #06R and it only wore that MVR livery at two races in 1997.

Hockenheim 16th (Ruch/Grau/Burgstaller)

Silverstone 14th (Ruch/Grau)

Helsinki DNS (Ruch/Grau)

At Helsinki, or the race that followed, the team had replaced the aging 1995 GTR with a new Lotus Elise GT1.

Thanks again for sharing more great content though! I love old stuff almost more than I like new things.

No problem man - we can't all remember everything.

Even for me, I would be lost without good resources to fall back on sometimes.

I'm just trying to make certain the most accurate info is always here.

= = = = =

There are only about 12 photos in circulation of that MVR livery that I can recall, so having another is really wonderful. Of course the car is now back with it's original Harrod's livery, but I think the MVR version made for a sharp looking car.

Here's a gallery from the MVR website with most of the photos that exist:

Did you mean to write two races, or three? And which two of the above three races did it wear the livery in?
Thanks!

If you look again at the third race in Helsinki - the car is listed as "DNS" or Did Not Start. I think it was on the roster, and it sticks in my mind that it may have been crashed during qualifying.

boy did they downgrade... not really, in all actuality, as im sure the brand new elise gt1 was superior to the 95 gtr, but from an f1 gtr to an elise gt1... id say thats downgrading in my book, why no 97 f1 gtr? other than the fact that they were all sold and/or spoken for by then, but thats no excuse...
