Wiring Kit for Radio/CD

I just bought an OEM Radio/CD made for a Hyundai to replace my OEM Radio/Cassette in my 02 Accent. Will I need a wiring kit? I've read that you need one when you install a different radio/cd player.

Depends what the cd player came out of. If it came out of another Accent, you should be ok. I can't say for sure if it came out of another model though.

I wish I knew. The previous owner only said it came from a Hyundai. The CD/Radio looks identical to my current cassette/radio. Very simple and basic, same size, color, etc. Is there a way to tell on the new one, any identifying marks that might indicate it was originally installed on an Accent.

They all look pretty similar. If you pull your radio out, just look to see if the plug is the same.

I just got confirmation back that it is indeed from another Accent, so it should be just a straight across transfer from what you are saying. Right? No special wiring because it's a CD player as opposed to the Cassette player I have now, right?

Correct, it should just swap right over.
