Mazda3 vs. Audi A3
Maybe this isn't a fair comparison since the A3 is $5,000 to up to $10,000 more, but what the heck. I haven't seen the A3 0-60 numbers but with about 50 extra hp it must be quite a bit faster. The Mazda3 is a sub 8 seconds. For me, I'd take the Mazda3 for the money and beef it up a bit. Put in a cold air intake and maybe a performance exhaust and you've got a real rocket for a great price.
Here is some Audi and Mazda info Audi A3 Review http://www.automedia.com/rts2005070...rts20050701a3/1 Audi A3 Specs http://www.automedia.com/nvg/test-b2006-Audi-A3-M.asp Mazda3 Review http://www.automedia.com/rts2005040...rts20050401m3/1 Mazda3 Specs http://www.automedia.com/nvg/test-b...a-MAZDA3-SH.asp Mazda3 Video http://www.automedia.com/featured_vehicle_main.asp |

Re: Mazda3 vs. Audi A3
Well I drove the A3 with the 200 hp Turbo i4 and 6speed manny...
it is a nice car. The engine is much more powerful and the power is there right from about 1700rpms, because of the turbo. However it likes premium. The shifter was nice and smooth, but a little too light. the clutch was a little harder to modulate, but once i got used to it's low "catch" point, it was all good. However the interior of the A3 was a dissapointment. it was not on the lever i owulld expect it in a 27k car. Oh BTw I own an 04 Mazda3 s sedan 5speed. So overall.. NO WAY for the A3... maybe he GTI would be a more viable competitor as the price will be lower (23-24k) and hopefully the interior will be a little better. Igor |

Re: Mazda3 vs. Audi A3
yes you can reprogram the remote but I don't remember exactly.
you have all doors close on the vehicle and key on and off 3 or 5 times (dont remember) and open and close driver door 3 times and the locks will click. I will have you the proper method on monday when i get back to work. |
