2001 Sienna Tranny problems

Have a 01 Sienna that had the tranny replaced about 3 months ago at 5ok. Every morning for the last month it seems to have a hard time shifting from 2nd to 3rd, but only when it's first started(cold). I have it at the dealer right now and they say it is shifting fine and it is normal for it to shift a little different when it is cold. Is this true? I don't know but the first 4 years I owned the vehicle it did not act this way. I have about 400 miles of warranty left. Confused in Chicago.

No, it shouldn't. Something is not right for the replaced tanny. If it should ack like this, it should be stated in the owner's manual. Ask the dealer to show you document saying what they told you. If they can't, they are just trying to push you away for a job they didn't do right.

ProMan is right. Something is wrong with the trans.
What kind of a replacement trans did you get?
That does sound like much warranty on it?
A gm factory rebuilt trans is 3 years or 50K.

I have a hard time shifting into high gear of a morning when it is cold out there to.
But I am getting old to.
How old is yours sienna and how many miles on it?
Ever been serviced?
Did it do it when it was new or when it got old?
