Remote Starter

Does anyone have a remote starter in their Aurora?? I would like to have one put in mine, but am hesitant due to the complicated electrical system in the car. I would have it put in professionally by the same garage that put one in my Lexus. Any Suggestions or Comments would be greatly appreciated.

Remote starter horror stories are covered extensively in older threads.

I have remote starter on '95. It is built-in with new alarm module I put in after buying my Aurora. There's definitely many ways to do it, but in my case it seemed to be pretty simple for professional. I lost PASS-key option though.
btw, signal about that engine started is taken from oil presure light in dash.

Re: Remote Starter

I have been installing remote starts for over 20 yrs. (yes on carburators). There are many excellent installers who know where to get the parts to integrate a remote starter into your vehicle. Go to a reputable auto stereo shop and ask a ton of questions. Ex: will my factory alarm still work? Will my factory anti-theft still work? Can you interface with my power locks and trunk so I don't have to carry two remotes? What is the warranty? Are your installers certified? Are you a member of Sema? ............... Remember there are MANY good brands of remote starters but they are only as good as the person installing them. ............... Last but not least shop for a fair price. It will vary greatly depending on the year of your Aurora. (newer models require more parts to interface a remote starter into your car) GOOD LUCK
