Auckland Uni

I know theres a couple of us going there, but heres a question:

WHERE THE FUCK DO YOU GUYS ALL PARK?

I went in today to sort out Ndeva and enroll properly but I see that not only is the grafton car park gone, but also the smaller car parks accross the road, and the one at the bottom of the hill as well.

Carlaw park was crammed full, and there was even a cue, but that has always been full.
So where has everyone who used to park at Grafton buggered off to?

oh, yes goddamn did I feel old walking around uni again....

I certainly feel free now.. it's just the finding a job part that is being rather difficult, I didn't think it would be as damn near impossible that it is right now in the aviation industry... oh well, such is life...

You could always look for something in a totally different field just to get you by, until you find something in the industry you want

Yeah thats the plan at the moment, I really need to start paying off my rather substabtial student loan as I don't really want to still be doing that when I'm due to retire.

If your looking for easy ok paid work flying then goto one of the Islands.

Theres always a demand for Pilots.
You might not live for very long, and be flying cheap poorly maintained planes, but you will be flying, and you will be gaining plenty of experiance.

Its either that or you go become a profesinal instructor training even more NZ pilots with out any hope of getting a job other than working as instructors trianing even more...... you get the idea.
Flying schools are big business at the moment.

Oooooh yes.. there are far too many ppl becoming pilots in this very small industry in NZ. But paying another 10-15K to become an instructor, then earn $10-$15 per every hourthat I fly is not very appealing..

A friend of mine is in Botswana flying rich US tourists around, something like that is certainly an option I am looking into, but I need to get some $$ sorted before I make such a move..

I am trying to get some shiftwork to get some money together, and will probably head away in about a year...
(but still keep my flying current until then)

Hopefully it all goes to plan
