'05 GXP brakes on an '04 IMPALA????

Just curious to see if anyone knows if the '05 Grand Prix GXP dual piston caliper set-up with vented cross-drilled rotors would work on an 'O4 Chevy Impala?????

In thoery, yes. But i'm not one to know for sure. Last I knew they still shared the same general platform, being mid-full sized GM vehicles.

Only reason i assume they would fit is i work for a company that deals with the impala and the 05 GXP and we have the complete brake set-up for both cars. The spindles/knuckle are exactly the same. The only difference in the two brakes is the rotor obviously and the caliper. Caliper basically is the same size just powder coated red with the mounting bracket beeing reinforced. I am sure the brake pads are different as well. The only problem i see with installing these if they did fit would possibly be upgrading the master cylinder as it may need more fluid since the rotors are 13". I will be installing a set of these GXP brakes on my '04 impala very shortly and i will let you guys know if they work and what problems i may have if any.

What would a full set run to switch to on a Impala? I'm curious more-so now after some ABS issues.

Well i know these retail new for $900.00 a set but i do not want that for the left and right side. I was thinking more along the lines of $400.00 for both left and right side complete with spindle, vented cross drilled rotors, ABS, powder coated (red) dual piston calipers with brake pads.

They should just bolt right on. The spindle is exactly the same so your factory struts will definately bolt onto that and your ball joints and tie rod end will bolt onto the spindle so it should just be a bolt on and go.

If its a completly bolt on deal I'm interested. But I'd like to see some pics. and complete cost for the conversion. Send me a PM.

There is absolutely no cost, except for purchasing the set-up, to bolt onto your impala. They are a bolt-on and go set-up. They will work on a non ABS car as well even though they have the abs sensor. I do not have any pictures of the set-up on a car as the car they were installed on has been sold.
