Question '84 CRX wont turn over help!

my freinds crx has developed a strange electrical problem. the starter works but wont turn over. you can push start it but it will run really bad and for some reason if you push the clutch down the battery light comes on. im thinking its a bad relay. any ideas?

altenator problems? clicking noise could be the starter trying to get juice from your drained battery. try charging battery over night if the batttery light still comes on and it won't start get your altenator rebuilt. approx $100
