Question Weird jumping when going from a stop!

Just recently it seems as if my gas pedal has gotten really touchy. In the morning when i first stop at the light and then go it wants to just jump and go but it almost seems like its gonna stall and then i gradually get going. If i just barely press and slowly get to speed it does fine but its that first couple stop lights that it jumps forward and almost stalls. What could be causing this?

have you checked your transmission fluid ?? it has to be at exaclty the right level, or it wont engage the gears right away when you give it gas. I did a tranny fluid change on my gf's escort and didnt put enough in initially, it was like driving with the clutch down.

do you have a check engine light on? IF so, have your car scanned and post the trouble codes here.
