What have you paid for a 06 RSX???

My Daughter wants a new 2006 RSX w/AT. I would prefer cloth, but the dealer said most come with leather.

What have you paid for your RSX? Is it unreasonable to expect invoice?
If so, how much over invoice is fair? The dealer has a junk fee--documentation at $69.

Let me know....

Thanks!
JC

Go to any of the following sites:

edmunds.com
www.kbb.com - kelley blue book

They adjust by location, so this would be your best bet. They even list how much people are paying for it in your area (edmunds I think).

You will never, unfortunately, get invoice. The car is hot and dealers know it. You might get a great deal, however, on a used 02 or 03 Type S, especially at this time of year- but it depends. Good luck.

Re: What have you paid for a 06 RSX???

I was able to get mine at invoice at the end of that model year but it was considered used since it had 700 miles on it. I bought it at Carmax (used car sales) since the only one left at the Acura dealer was a red one and he blew me off after I told him how much I was willing to pay. I guess that showed him when he called to see if I was still interested and I told him I had already purchased one for the price I wanted!

Re: What have you paid for a 06 RSX???

I just got my 2006 RSX type S (which is manual tranny) for 24k out the door, but for an auto, it'll be cheaper since the auto is a base RSX w/a weaker engine.

He he - good for you! I saw an ad this week of local Honda dealer selling a used '03 base 5 speed with cloth, asking $17,900 (42,000 miles), supposedly "on sale" from $19,900!! I went to KBB.com - the blue book value (maximum retail) is $17,100!

Stealerships.........

Yeah, the dealers try to rip you off. I'm sure I would have been able to get him to bring the price down, but I didn't want to waste a whole lot of time. I just wanted a test drive.

It's always best to check the blue book or edmunds before you buy a used car. They always try to jack up the price at dealers to make you think you're getting a good deal.

The 17,100 sounds right since that is about the trade-in price for an '03 TypeS.
