I have a 95 2.5 LXI that the engine shuts down for an unknown reason. There are not any fault codes. The engine will start as soon as I coast to a stop and turn the ignition off. The engine has 40K on it. The trans is freshly rebuilt. The exhaust system has 110K on it. The distributor and the crank position sensor were replaced when I changed the motor out. Has anyone dealt with the same?

Re: 95 cirrus 2.5 shuts down at any time
chances are, this has and can happen, the crank sensor has a paper spacer that goes on the end of it. That spacer provides and air gap for the sensor and the flexplate. Without it, you'll have intermittent start-ups and stalling. Have your mechanic or someone check out that spacer and make sure it's on it.
