no the hf was made for fuel economy so many parts differ on it to the dx. Smaller tires, different steering wheel, thinner windows, smaller gas tank (from a 12g to a 10g), different manifold too. Overall just a lighter and more efficient car.

Re: Crx Hf Dx

The hf is a multi point car the dx is a dpfi, the hf has an 8 valve head and the dx has a 16 valve head, the hf gearing is longer than the dx gearing. Thats the big differences.

Re: Crx Hf Dx

10-15 hp as well, the hf seems to be a lot slower of a car

Re: Crx Hf Dx

mostly the injection system and 8 valve head are different along with 200 less pounds...some minor things is the blue interior instead of black on some of them, the absense of the rear-wiper and hatch cover and there are suspension system differences also. The HF is bomb on gas mileage.

I have a 91 HF. TURD. Lets just say that from the factory the hf has 60hp. The intake mani and piping can't be bigger than 1 inch round. 3rd, 4th, and 5th gears are overdrive and for those of you who don't know, overdrive means that your wheels are spinning faster than your motor. I really think someone dropped the ball on this one other than the fact that it is a prime candidate for a swap or a track car. Another fun fact is that the HF has roller rockers. Mine has 168k and I can't even hear the damn thing running. By far the quietest car and the slowest car I have ever owned/driven. So to sum this up if anyone has an A6 or an Si tranny laying around for sale and is somewhere near PA, I want it.
