Re: new turbo set up

thier website shows 7psi for the lt1
dyno shows the increase from 273 rwhp to 394 at 5k rpm .

now my questions is ,,, if i get my hands on a decent turbo , do you think i could do this myself? well maybe a little help from friends at the muffler shop? it would be way cheaper than $4k.

Re: new turbo set up

Depends how well you know cars and turbo systems etc.

And if they say 7psi I'm not sure if thats good for a daily driver, but others will have more input

Re: new turbo set up

7-8 PSI from a turbo is easy on the stock motor WITH a good tune.

I am sure it could be done yourself. I would just watch out....STS has sued people using their designs.

Re: new turbo set up

It won't get a turbo. I would like it to eventually get a supercharger though. I need to hit the lotto though for that to happen anytime soon.
I would lower the compression down to around 8.5:1 and run 15 PSI off the charger.

Re: new turbo set up

I would never rip off their design =)
