Check Tire Pressure Light

Check Tire Pressure Light won't go out on my 99 grand Am GT. Tire pressure is fine. Any suggestions?

Re: Check Tire Pressure Light

Hold down the red "reset" button in your fuse panel on the driver's side dash for 10 seconds. Should do it.

Re: Check Tire Pressure Light

It could also be indicitive of a possible problem with a wheel bearing.

Tried it but light started blinking and now is still on. It started after I fixed a leak in a tire. All tires are now fine.

Re: Check Tire Pressure Light

I think the ignition needs to be in either the "Accesories" or "On" position for it to work. Try both.

just did this on mine. put the ignition to ON, press and hold the reset button mentioned above until either the check tire or check oil light blinks, if the check oil blinks push the reset again and it should switch to the check tire light. hold the reset button for a couple seconds and it should shut the light off.

Worked great except the first thing that blinked was the seat belt light, the pressed the button to the oil, then the tire pressure. Thanks
