creaking noise front end

I recently purchased a 2000 Durango.
Have a creaky noise coming from the front end, also, when I go over a bump the steering wheel will jerk. Any takers on this one?

Could be worn sway bar bushings. Also, try lubing up the upper and lower ball joints ( if they arent't sealed bushings).

For the creak, I agree with spammail, the sway bar bushings are famous for that. I clean the sway bar,
replace the bushings and lube them with "door ease"
It seems to last a bit longer than other lubes.
