Which gears to use?
What would be a good brand name of ring and pinion gears to use, and which ones of there kind?
I do some serious trailer towing and I'm going to put a 3.73 ratio rearend to keep up with it and meet gas cost also. I need gears that are Chevyduty and not some whimpy alloy shit that's out there along with the good stuff. Need help on this cause gears are a new thing to me, so I don't know what's what. Thanx |

I just ordered a whole new ring and pinion and everything else needed from this site http://www.buy-oem-parts.com. If you are unsure what you need call them up and they are very helpful in getting you set up with all the right stuff.

Re: Which gears to use?
If it is 4WD, then you are going to have problems with 4WD.

Re: Which gears to use?
Oh yeah it's 2wd. And I was also hoping to just change ring & pinion if possible to avoid high cost.
