New Tib soon...

Hello,
I am going to be buying an 03' Tib GT 6 dp soon. it has 28k miles on it. The first performance mod I want to make on it is a cold air intake. Has anyone else put a cold air intake on their Tib? Is it complicated? And does it void the warrenty??
And another question, are the stock tires(michelin) good in winter?
thanks!
