Windshield Wiper Motor Failure

If you have problems with the wipers working on there own program when you have them on, there is a recall out to fix them. TSB 03023 May 03. You can go to goggle and type in recalls for 1994 chevrolet K1500 or whatever vehicle and find the link that lists your vehicles recalls. Then you can call the dealership and verify your vehicle is up to date before buying the parts or paying for repairs out of your pocket.

Re: Windshield Wiper Motor Failure

All it is is the circuit board has a crack in a joint and a drop of solder will fix them.
Some are covered and some are not and do not ask me why. Just tell GM about it.
But like jefferylt says get your vin no checked it could be your lucky day.
Thanks jefferylt that info may help someone.

Re: Windshield Wiper Motor Failure

Take the wiper circuit board out of the wiper motor box.
Look at it real close and look for a crack in the solder joints on power feed into the circuit board.
You will usually find a crack in the solder joint just resolder it and you have it fixed.
If not your dealer will have a new circuit board.
Let us know how it goes.

Windshield Wiper Failure

I am going to check to find out about it being covered for my 95 tomorrow. I know when I looked up recalls for my truck that one was listed. I will post my answer once I find out.
