headlight question

ive gotta 99 alero that im attempting to put silverstar headlights in but i cant figure out how to even get to the back of the headlights to replace the bulbs. anyone out there wanna help me out?

Also has anyone heard of the headlights/fog light bulbs that change colors as you drive? my friend was tellin me about them the other day but i cant find them anywhere. He said theyve got some kind of lense on them that reflects the light into different colors depending on what they shine onto

Re: headlight question

I've heard of them, but in some states they're illegal. That may be why it's hard for you to find them.

To get access to the back of the headlights....Standing in front of your headlights with your hood up. Looking down . There should be 2 metal "L" shaped tabs that you need to pull "up". These metal tabs lock the headlamp assembly in place. Once both tabs are pulled up. The whole light assembly should slide forward providing access to the back of the assembly.

Hope this helps.

Re: headlight question

there should be 2 little tabs to pull up on. then when you pull them up. pill the whole lite out, you have to jiggle it a little(tabs) a little. thats all there is to it. your owners manuel also has this info.
