Talking Fuel Mileage

I just checked the fuel mileage on my '93 wagon. I'm getting 39.0 miles per gallon with 261,000 miles on the car. Sure am happy with that!

one factor I don't see mention is what kind of terrain are you all getting this kind of mileage im sure that has something to do with it here in new england we have lots of hills

93/1.9/auto/sw..28 or close.. city..stop/go. 35 hwy . doesn't make ANY difference if I drive 50 or 75..summer perfect conditions flat hwy OR winter blizzard/hilly. Winter I drive 200 mi/day 3 X wk back and forth skiing.Gets 35..hilly ,secondary 60 mph highway..OFTEN less than 60 mph! OFTEN bad roads/snow! Summer to the cottage flat road..same distance freeway gets 35.Same mileage empty and loaded too.

Here in NW Arkansas it is flatter than a pancake and we have few stop signs/traffic lights. Further north into the Ozarks it is really hilly and then I only get about 35. You shouldn't have any problem at all getting good gas mileage except if you have a cold air ram induction.

I do have it-lol gives a littlle bit more highway power though in this littlle motor. How much difference do you think cold air ram would make with mileage?
