Pontiac Phoenix

Hey I'm looking at possibly purchasing this car for a project. It is a 1979 pontiac Phoenix. The ad says 6 cylinder but I'm not sure which engine It is. Can anyone help?

Re: Pontiac Phoenix

I believe your car has the 3.8 liter Buick V6.
This is an excellent, durable engine, but did not produce much power back then.
A Pontiac, Olds or Buick V8 should fit quite easily.

The car is virtually identical to a Chevy Nova and has lots of performance potential, in the classic muscle car spirit of things.

DUDE... that looks to be a VERY nice start to a project!! Only problem I can think of is finding parts... it's a rare car.. In fact, that's the ONLY one I've ever seen (aside from the FWD 80's POS version).

As long as most the part interchange with a Nova, I'd grab it and go.

Buick 350 would drop right in like it was another v6.

Sweet ride, Plus... I like cars that you don't see a million of

Good Luck
