shifter unlocks/locks doors and hatch

hello, new to forum,
have a 97 jimmy 4x4 with an electrical problem.when moving automatic transmission shifter from one position to another, up or down, will cause the door lock to either lock or unlock depending on what position it was in and also cause rear window to unlock and open. if just sitting in suv the switches all work like they are suppose to. is there a common ground that could be bad? any help would be appeciated.
