front end noise
frist of all let me tell you what i fixed so we can rule out these problems
wheel bearings. ball joints. tie rod ends. pitman arm. stearing link arm. let's just say i rebuilt the whole front end, which is starting to cost me an arm and a leg. the problem i'm having now is when i'm driving i hear a squeaking noise coming from somewhere on the passanger side it sounds like somebody is sitting on a rocking chair rocking back and forth.also when i push up and down on that side thats when i can really hear it.but i have no ideal where the noise is comming from.would a bad shock cause this problem? |

Re: front end noise
grease all 11 grease-fittings under your truck. that should do the trick. Should cost about $10 for the grease gun and $4 for the grease. If it doesn't solve the problem, no big deal. It needed done anyway and didn't cost much.
This fixed my creaks when at first I thought it was the shocks. Quote:

Re: front end noise
After all that work are you sure that your metal disk brake guard isn't rubbing on the disk. That would cause the squeaking.

Take a look at your sway bar links, and the sway bar mount bushings. When they get old and dry, they squeak.
