What Is This Called? Please Help

What is that plastic black bar that runs down horizontally on the side of my truck? Do those plastic black strips have a name? If so, does anyone know where I can get some chrome ones, if they even exist.

Re: What Is This Called? Please Help

i know its trim...lol

I figured it has a name. Like the trim above the wheels is fender trim & the trim on the bottom is Rocker panel trim. So I can maybe do a google or yahoo search.

Do you know any place that may sell that trim in chrome or stainless steel. I just want something different than that. What does it look like if you take that off? Is the door just flat & level under that trim?

Re: What Is This Called? Please Help

Um, from that angle they look like the stock sport tail lights. Just in really good shape.

Re: What Is This Called? Please Help

its just black pastic tail light covers. With four slots. The chevy ones have like 5 slots. I wanted something different than just the ram covers They were only like $20 for both.

That pic is before my gray/white flame mudflaps.

That pic is minus my inferno grille inserts & my front windshield white ram flame decal.

And that pic is before I got my "Ram 1500" chrome emblem covers & stainless steel anchor points.

I'm also in the next few weeks gonna get rid of my 3 1/2 Inch duel chrome plated tips & get some 5 Inch stainless steel duel tips & some fender trim & maybe rockerpanel trim. And in like a year some yokohama advans & american racing 18 in rims. I'd like to get like a quart of that chrome paint & paint my plastic tail light covers chrome.

Edit: How do u make your own page on here? Thats what I need to do. Sorry if pics arent allowed in this forum, it wont happen again.

Pics are allowed and definatly encouraged. You've got a nice looking truck. What year is that? it looks to be in amazing physical shape.

Re: What Is This Called? Please Help

Thanks. Its a 1999, u cant see it in the pics due to the angle, but on the passenger side of the hood & the top, the clearcoat is coming off & it needs painting soon.

Re: What Is This Called? Please Help

I prolly will eventually get some stainless door & tailgate handles. I'll prolly take some new pics in the next week. Needs a wash bad & those damn spots where the clearcoat is coming off...the only real negative.
