Unhappy 1987 FC blows smoke.
I knew it did this when I bought the car, but now how do I fix it? (I know almost nothing about any rotary motor ever)

LOL, i dont need to jump to conclusions. White smoke is coolant.
There is no white smoke on start up, thats steem and does not remain white and smkoie after start up.
It is NOT normal for the car to smoke white on start up or at any time.

Yup, you need a new engine. If its smokes white then you wont be able to re-use the side housings as they are probably warped due to overheathing and the bad seal. But yes, you need a new engine.
