Angry ABS light in F350

My 1996 F350 has a ABS light that stays on all the time. I'd like to know if there is any info about this or anyone that has had a similar problem.
Thanks

I had a 1993 e-150 with same problem, but the red brake light would also come on when brakes were applied, and the brakes would drag. It turned out that the RABS valve was bad. (located under vehicle about half way back with brake lines attached) I had dealer unplug ABS module (located on firewall somewhere) It took care of the brakes dragging but now rear brakes are no longer ABS. Hope this helps

I do believe I have the answer for you. Check your vehicle speed sensor. It should be located above the rear differential. Good luck. Michael

Re: ABS light in F350

take off one wheel at a time and look and see if brake dust and drum/rotor metal is bridging the gap on the magnetic pick up and reluctor. If you spray some brake cleaner or have a compressor ,blow all of the debris out. Don't forget to wear a mask and goggles. the metal dust bridging the gap will light up the abs light like it did on mine. Are you hard on brakes?

Re: ABS light in F350

My 95 F250 did the same thing. I checked all the fuses, speed sensor, vacuum pump, brake fluid level sensor, wiring, connections and everything else I could think of. Finally got frustrated and pulled the fuses out to inspect (I had checked them with a test light at both contacts while they were in place) and found one of the tabs broken off coming out of the bottom of the fuse. Replaced fuse and the ABS light that had been on for a year went out, been fine since.

One of those really strange things that come up once in a while.
