wife backed in to cement block. now hatch doesnt open. need help
well the problem is the dent in the bumper made it push up a little and now that hatch wont open. my question is is that if i take it off and bang it with a hammer will it be enough to push it down some or is the bumper so strong that ill need to heat it up with a torch or somthing. sorry no pics. ive been looking at after markets on the internet but they come in black. my x is yellow with gray bumpers and plastic.

Hard to say there. You might try just loosening the bumper and seeing if you can shift it back down a tad.

You could probably bang it out with a sledgehammer, but it won't be pretty! Might ask around and see if anyone has one they want to get rid of.
