Help Meeee!!

Ok, i have a quick question for you, i have a 94' civic coupe with a jdm 94' h22 swap. It is setup with a T25 garret ball bearing turbo, 2.5in intercooler piping and a precision turbo intercooler. i am currently running 11 psi. I have a h23 tranny with an ACT 6 puck clutch and ACT chromoly flywheel, i dynoed this weekend and only made 197hp and 225tq at the wheels. i know this motor is rated at 200 crank hp from the factory and the turbo should have added at least 88hp. shouldnt i at least be making 255+hp at the wheels? also the car goes really rich when VTEC engages. Any answers or help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Help Meeee!!

boost leak ? and some engines need a once-over every-so-often to keep them in tip-top condition an running well. you said it was 200bhp (ATC) from the factory, dont forget you usually have a 10-15% power loss through trasmission an drivetrain resistance/friction. so you should be gettin 240-260bhp (ATW) as a guess. but otherswise i dont know.

Re: Help Meeee!!

Definently check for a boost leak, and check to see if the injectors popped out. If all that is fine, then get yourself a new turbo. My friend had this exact same thing happen to him. That turbo will give you far more torque than hp, it's too small.

Re: Help Meeee!!

my engine is managed by the V-AFC 2, my compression is good and my boost guage reads 10-11psi, im pretty sure im not leaking boost and my injectors are fine, i was considering that the turbo may be to small.

Re: Help Meeee!!

Uberdata or chrome and for the turbo.....use something like a t3/t04 .57 trim or anything that's bigger than a little t25! If you want ball bearing an good spool up, get a GT28rs.....
