vs. Bmw 530I 05'

driving up cleveland ave. and i pull up to a stop right next to a middle aged guy in a black 530i sedan. didnt think anything of it just because he was older. then when the light went green he just took off. the next light just turned red so i didnt chase after him at all..just going to wait for the next red light

so as soon as i pull up to the light it turns green. so we both go WOT he to my suprise actually fell back to my rear bumper stayed there for about 2 secs. then his car gains speed and he put my front bumper at the middle of his car. then i think his car upshifted or something and he just immediatly fell back to my rear bumper and stayed like that and he slowly...gained back up to me he was about to the middle of my doors ( but he would have just kept gaining/passed me )when i had to shut it down cause there was a car that pulled out into my lane. then he just went flying past me. Have no idea how fast we took it up too...never looked down, but we did go WELL over the speed limit is all i can say.

when i finally passed him again because he was waiting in the left turn lane i just gave him a thumbs up out my window.

ill say its a loss but its the first decent car ive actually been able to race in while

what do those cars normally run?

How do you know it was an '05? The older E60s probably run low 15s high 14s, the newer ones have 30 more hp so maybe a little quicker?

Why did you got WOT if you didnt think anything of it?

what i got from Dragtimes.com is a 0-60 of 6.7 and a quarter of 15.00

uh the car was black..not him... read carefully at the first light i didnt think ne thing of it, then he took off. then we pulled up to another light..then we went WOT



and im going to assume its the newer model, cause um this is the only year ive seen this car...

2004 was the first year of the E60. I'm sure the '06 models are out by now. I don't know if it was a '05 or '06 that got the 30 hp increase.

They have been making 530's since the early 90's


Edit: Almost forgot good kill/death. Sounds like you guys were pretty well matched. Your car is a low 15sec car too right? Is your Max auto or stick.
