zz top hot rod

Hi,

my uncle is a music fan and he asked me if I could make him the ZZtop hot rod that featered in the clip of "give me all your loving" I know revell made some hot rod but I'm not really into those type of cars so i'm not sure which car it is. It doens't have to be "the real thing" A good match is more than ok for me...

thx in advance

Monogram made the ZZ Top Eliminator kit, there are several on Ebay. I can't believe I got the kit and built it when new...it's been 20 years since it debuted!

Re: zz top hot rod

I have one that my girlfriend got me for my birthday. I have yet to build it though. one thing I dont like is the fact that the main body portion and the roof are 2 separate peices. I havn't looked at it in depth though

Monogram, 1/32nd scale. This has a one piece body and another piece for the fenders, different from the 1/25 scale Revell version with separate roof.
Built out of the box when it first came out... - Mark

Re: zz top hot rod

thx for the replies, but it doesn't have to be "THE" zztop hot rod. So any look-alikes are also good. I can airbrush the ZZtop logo and even if it's necesairy print some decals

Re: zz top hot rod

The biggest challenge for you will be to do the valve covers and air cleaner with the ZZ-Top logos on them, otherwise the kit was quite alright for it's time.
I had no problems with the separate roof, but the kit is long gone in the 1/24-25 scrap yard.

I believe that the car used by the ZZ Top is a Ford 1934 3 window. that is what you wanted to know, right?
