There are many navigation units available that can be used in any car. Garmin and Magellan are two well known companys for gps. Do a Google search for automotive gps.

Re: 1988 thunderbird navigation system???possible??

Well heres where i am

I got the car in pretty bad condition, since then i have
-replaced the water pump due to a leak
-replaced the cap & rotor
-replaced a thermostat
-gotten new tires

Im going to
-get every dent fixed,
-painted shiny black
-rims later on 19's maybe
-drop the car a bit
-get a sunroof
-tint the windows,
and get the tail lights to go side to side when im making a left/right signal turn.

Heres the fun part...the inside
-GPS navigation system is now must.
-a place for a laptop that i plan to keep in the car, but it wont be built in since ill want to take it out sometimes
-i want to change the interior to black or grey
-sound system is a must
thats it for the inside that i can think of right now

and then finally give the old bird a better engine
increase the horse power
louder engine sound

most importantly change than f***cken gay horn sound to a freight trailer sound.

i basically want K.I.T. from night rider to join the family haha.

this will take a while though, maybe 1-2yrs? but working on it.
