92 explorer new cd player has dead air...need help!!!!
Hi there I have a 92 explorer xlt and I had got a cd player as a gift and when we installed it and turned it on there was static/dead air in the background. If its lound enough you cant really hear it, but it has to be really loud and I dont want to go deaf. We doubled checked all the wires and everything is fine. We followed the instuctions to the tee and we still dont know what is causing it. Does anybody know whats wrong or if we missed something that we didnt know was there? Please help me.

Have you checked the fade on the stereo?
