Unhappy b16 help ASAP

I was riding down the road and the motor died. Heres what ive got getting fuel and spark just turns over with slight back fires pulled the timing cover and every thing looks ok as far as i know(all arrows point up) with no codes on ecu i was getting a #5 ecu code when it first died but the check engine light was not on i reset the ecu and it went away.
ive checked everything i can think of if any one can help that would be great .

That's wierd cuz i was about to post something in the Integra forum about this. My car is doing the exact same thing and i really have no clue what it is. Im just thinkin it's in need of a tuneup.

Does the motor try to turn over or does it do nothing at all. Check you battery if it is dead then check the green plug on the alt. that is what happened to my car.

found out it was the rotor button it got hot and melted it then slid off and hit the inside of the distubter cap knocking it out of time thats why i was getting fire and it was not starting. yeah i was suprised to find that out! but its fixed now

How the hell did the rotor get some hot it melted?

You need to check into that aye, otherwise its likely to keep happending.

Sorry i have an integra and im in the wrong forum but i still cant figure out what's wrong with my car. When it does die, it doesnt start back up immediatley, i have to wait about 3 minutes before it will fire back up. I've never heard of this before but i guess i will check the distributor like 91sir did and see if that's my problem. Other than that, i really have no idea as to what the problem could be. All replies would be helpful. Thanks.
