Routing AMp cables.... Please help

ok well i dont have much slack left on my power cable, currently they run up the side of the back seat, and then through the rear deck (it goes all the way to the back window) and it goes into my trunk, i barely have any slack for the power cable really

is there any holes or spaces that i can stick the wires through, through the back seat? i cant find any (i didnt check to hard though)

Re: Routing AMp cables.... Please help

You could probably run them under the back of the back seat, where the two halves meet. Unbolt the bottom if you need easier access, you can probably squeeze one under there.

Re: Routing AMp cables.... Please help

are they just those 2 bolts that are like right under the cushion (where peopls legs would be if they were to sit down)

does the bottom half just pull out or what?

Re: Routing AMp cables.... Please help

That's them, the bottom just slides out. The back has two torx bolts that hold it down, and the back slides up and out. Try not to pull the back off, because it can be a pain to get back in, but if you must remember the points where the back slides onto the brackets in the trunk.

Re: Routing AMp cables.... Please help

dont pull it off, my lumina when i routed them i just pulled the seat forward a little... in the back of the seats there are holes in the metal you can use to route them. (90 - 94) i know those years for a fact. i have my wires running down the trim pieces. well under them, down to the back of my car, up inder the seat on the rear side, and through the back. i just run it along the trim and tuck it away you can barley see it.

I mounted my 4 channel amp under the passenger side, and my 2 channel on my box.

If you want to, you can go to Circuit City, they have the Monster Cable or at least did when I wired mine up. I think Best Buy only sells it in kits, but not sure it's 4 gauge. You could also try like ACE hardware, they used to sell it, and it would be cheaper than the Monster cable

Re: Routing AMp cables.... Please help

not anymore they dont, go to a car audio store. Circuit city merged with Comp USA... it pissed me off, head down to a local car audio store and get some cable. it doesnt have to be monster cable, as long as its stranded and oxygen free i think it is. i have monster cable and i paid way too much for it lol
