Re: Turbo Question!!!!

Maybe one of the seals on the turbo is broke. But if you want to use that turbo on your eclipse your probably going to have to fabricate a whole lot of parts.

Re: Turbo Question!!!!

what kind of turbo is it? if its a KKK or IHI turbo then it might be damn hard finding a manifold that will fit it.

Re: Turbo Question!!!!

fabrication is what it's all about fellas, it's alot easier than people think. don't get me wrong it's not like coloring, but it's not a month long process like some people think. half the battle is actually getting out and doing it. scrap metal and a welder can make dreams.

Re: Turbo Question!!!!

but all that fabricating for a turbo that you know nothing about? It could be extremely weak or maybe even spool at 5000rpm

stick with the tried and true turbos IMO

Agreed

Even if you find a manifold that magically bolts up to your eclipse and the turbo, all that fabrication takes time. Lots of time and measurements. If you are crafty with a welder and pipe and measuring crap out. Go for it. But if not there is no way it's worth it.

And like was said before this volvo turbo may not be so strong.I remmeber riding in a turbo volvo before and I can't ever remember really feeling the turbo.
