value of 94 probe

Hello. I have a friend of mine who is about to get a new car and is putting her 94 Probe up for sale. It has been kept in perfect running condition since her father restores cars as a hobby.

I don't know many of the specifics yet of the engine, but she is asking $1800 for it. Is this a fair price for a perfectly maintained car? Or is it still too much?

Thanks for any feedback
-Eric

Re: value of 94 probe

1800 sounds like a good price, the automatics are known for being very bad transmissions, very prone to breakage. make sure there is no harsh shifting, and o/d works and all. i bought my 94 gt w/ a cel, cracked windsheild, and a horrible paint job for 1600... so if it's a gt, then snatch that baby up! if it's a se or base, it's up to you... and how many miles plays a big role too. gl, and if you join the probe community, visit www.probetalk.com for any problems you run into...
