Re: 95 Ram 1500 4X4 right front axle U-joint replacement
Not sure about a '95, but my '99 is right hand threads. I used penetrating oil and an underpowered impact wrench. After about 3 minutes of it pounding on it, it came off.

both sides are right hand thread. youll need a air impact gun or a strong 3/4 drive electric.

Thanks for the replies! Worked on the truck the other day. Used a 3/4" breaker bar and a cheater pipe and it came right apart.

Re: 95 Ram 1500 4X4 right front axle U-joint replacement
just a thought. instead of taking all that apart to get the shaft out, just take the 3- 14mm 12pt bolts out of the backside of the hub, and the whole hub assembly and shaft comes out. i can get both shafts out in less than an hour.
