Need help with 2000 Eclipse GS
I need to get the drivers side headlight and radio/CD cassette player replaced.
The headlight. I found one on ebay, but am not sure if it will fit the car (it says it will because its for 00-04). Also, it looks sort of black, so will it match my other headlight? I have stock headlights, btw. Heres a pic of the one on ebay, if you can help me out. The radio/CD cassette combo player. The upper part, the part with the Radio and cassette player, doesnt work. It simply doesnt work at all, no electricity to it whatsoever. Strane part is, the lower part, the CD player, has electricity, but cant work without the other part. I was told I would have to get the wiring system all re-wired or something because its an Infinity system. Well that costs too much so I thought I'd just buy a new one (has to be infinity remember). So I found this... Its the exact same one I have. Do you think I should get it? Will it work if I simply replace it? The only other thing I was thinking was, it seller who is selling that radio/CD player is saying he will give me the VIN# so that I can get the Anti Theft Code for it so it can work properly. This made me think, I bought this car for a private dealer, but he never mentioned anything about an Anti Theft code for it. Maybe thats what I have to do with my current one to get it to work? I seriously am starting to think the only reason it doesnt work is because of the whole Anti-Theft code. Any thoughts? Thanks. |

Re: Need help with 2000 Eclipse GS
That is a stock headlight however the headlights do come in black and chrome from the factory so if you need the chrome one I wouldn't get that one. As far as the radio goes if it does need the code then it should tell you on the pod in the center of the dash to ask for a code. I wouldn't get the deck without the code if I where you. I'd keep looking around until you find one that has the code with it or just get an aftermarket hu

unless you need the tape thing, those 6 disc stock ones are nice, you should try finding one of those
