Mobil 1

Was just wondering if switching to the Mobil 1 15,000 mile oil would be a bad thing for a 02 with 30k miles on it? all highway and am sick of oil changes every month!!!! any words of wisdom pros / cons???? i dont plan on going back to DINO oil was just wondering what you people thought... thanks in advance

Welcome to the AF!

No problem. Change it every 10k if you drive mostly on the expressway. 5K in town.

If you really want to stretch the oil change interval, send samples into an oil analysis lab and keep an eye on the additive levels. Once you see what is normal for your driving habits, you don't have to do the analysis but once in a while to make sure nothing has changed. Keep an eye on your PCV valve and make sure it's functioning every 5K if you are extending your interval.
