My Radio Is Throwed

The problem started out when my low tire pressure light came on. I fixed my tire, when I went to reset the light using disp. settings on radio, I noticed usually it says reset tire mon. but this time it didn't. It didn't say anything about a tire. So I tried turning off and on the parking lights 3 times. that didn't work so i said screw it the light has still been on. Now just last week I noticed the radio said "check cd". And it won't play a cd at all. It constantly ejects. the car can be turned off with no cd in it or key in the ignition, and you can hear the cd ejecting (with no cd in it). has this happened to anyone and can it be fixed

Re: My Radio Is Throwed

well when I fisrt bought my car, I test drove it of course and tried everything out, but I forgot a cd. so I bought it and went to put in a cd, and it wouldnt take it, tried to eject and it tried to eject, but wouldnt, tried to listen to the cd, and some wierd mexican talk radio type thing came on, but wouldnt eject. started making wierd noises, and wouldnt go away even if I turned the car off. so I have had pretty much the smae problem, but mine was still under warrenty and I just had to get it replaced.

If thats what you have to do, try ebay, ive seen some for cheap.

I think there are several posts about this.
From what I remember one fix is to disconnect the positive from the battery, wait a few minutes and then reconnect.

Re: Re: My Radio Is Throwed

well unlocking the radio has to be done at the dealership I believe. its a "safety" feature for in case your radio gets stolen, it knows the vin of the car and wont work with a different vin, unless you go to the dealership.

and for the MPG the car figures out. it doesnt do it thru the radio, you have to have the DIC (driver information console/center) in the center of the car of the roof, right above the rear veiw mirror. that tells you the temp/NSEW, MPG, instant MPG, how many gallons used, avg speed.
