Internal Interference Engine?

Does anyone know if my 99 Altima has an internal interference engine? Which means the valves will touch the piston when timing chain breaks.

Re: Internal Interference Engine?

Yes you have an interference design engine. Do you know of an engine that has a broken timing chain? If you do the cylinder head is probably warped from overheating and locked the cams. Timing chains will last more than 300K mi.
