Question '94 GT Questions

Hello all! I am new to the forum as well as to the Mustang world. I recently purchased a '94 GT that has had a few mods here and there and I just want to make sure that all the mods jive with each other. It is a pretty much stock 5.0 with the following upgrades that I know of....
Vortech v-1 super charger kit
- Piping
- 11lb pulley
- 8 rib belt
- vortech FMU
- vortech ignition control (boost
retard)

- BBK headers
- Flowmaster Exhaust and Xpipe
- Walbro 255 fuel pump
- BBK fuel pressure regulator
- BBK fuel pressure guage
- MSD ignition blaster coil
- Ford motor sport 8 gauge spark
plug wires

I don't think any of the MAF stuff has been changed out, nor has the throttle body. The only recommendation I have received so far is to go with an aftermarket ECU...but I am not sure if that is all I need to make this complete or not. Any and all inputs are greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!

Well for right now the only thing i'd suggest is finding a performance shop that can burn custom chips for your car. Then have it dyno tuned there and have a custom chip made. This will not only improve power, but it will make the supercharger combo much more durable.

BTW..... If after that you want more power, go with a slightly larger TB (65-70mm) and a 75 or 77mm mass air meter. After that the next step is intake, then heads and cam....if you want to go that far.

Thanks!!

Thanks for the replies!! The TB/Mass Air is what I have been thinking, but I wasn't sure of what combo to use...or what size for that matter. Throw me some ideas on what sizes I should use, and what Mass Air matches up to the different TB sizes. Also, would you guys happen to know if a ECU out of a '94 Cobra 5 speed, would fit into my 94 GT 5 speed?? I found one that has been chipped already, but wasn't sure if I could just plug it in and use it. Any inputs?? Thanks again for the replies!!

Tim

Re: '94 GT Questions

I don't see where you have switched out your injectors or MAF, it would be a good idea to add some high flow injectors and an MAF to match or your larger fuel pump and regulator will not flow any additional fuel, this will cause combustion problems and insufficient power from the 8 psi power adder you have installed. More Air...More Fuel...they go hand in hand.

Re: '94 GT Questions

i would agree with dsum14 and to at the least make sure that your injectors aren't running too close to max capacity, and i would personally go for injectors and a fuel pump and a chip to make it allwork, the injectors and fuel pump (along with any other mods you plan to do) should be done before you get a chip burned because otherwise you won't get the max potental from your car
