Police Scanners...NOT radars
I was wondering if anyone could throw out a few brands that make good scanners...not radars, but scanners. I just want something so i could listen in to my local PD. This might be a stupid question and posted a few times, sry if it has. Im looking to spend around $300

Uniden & Motorola are the 2 big ones that come to mind.

are they illegal in some areas. they sell them at walmart so i have no idea.

they aren't illegal, anything broadcast is legal to recieve, its just illegal to transmit on those frequencies.
