fuel pump controller??

I have a 87 Bronco II with a 2.9. I just stumbled over this site and have some high hopes for this venture. So I have been trouble shooting a fuel pump problem for a while now. I first hooked up my auto scanner and it told me that the secondary fuel pump controller was bad. Being the mech that I am I figured fuel pump. So I changed out the in line fuel pump, it ran for about 5 minutes and craped out another fuel pump. The scanner now says primary and secondary fuel pump controller failure. any one have some thoughts I'm not sure what is going on.

Had a similar problem with my 91 full size. Fuel pump quit working, troubleshot and checked out inertia switch. Still didnt work. Mechanic did same thing and on second try of resetting the switch it worked and is working fine right now. Just a thought if you have one you may want to try looking at it.
