Very lost!!!
ok here is my situation, I bought soem ractive adjustable springs that I am suppose to be able to put on pretty much any strut for my car, so I was looking into KYB AGX struts and I see it says struts AND SHOCKS as if they were sold together, What teh hell am I suppose to do witht eh shock, don't I just pop my spring onto the strut and put on ym car..where the hell does the shock come in..so then i go check on tokico and again teh same thing, as if they were sold together..even if they are sold seperately, what is the shock for..can someone clear me up please!!!

Re: Very lost!!!
some places sell combination shock and struts....some companies sell individual pieces because a lot of people want to lower their car, but don't need to replace everything. Some lowering springs/coilovers, just slip over the stock shocks.

Re: Re: Very lost!!!
A strut is a type of shock absorber. Some people call them struts while others call them shocks. To be techincal struts are structural while shocks are not. Struts have a spring mounted to them, shocks mount seperate than springs. Honda's use struts.
Why use good struts with junk ractive springs? Another thing about junk Ractive springs and adjustable springs in general, KYB does not suggest them to be used with their struts. |
