AC Cluth Clinging / Air Bag Light

Recently a few automotive guru's diagnosed my "clinging" to be the a/c clutch. I have another issue that I have not discussed with these people as they are always busy.

When I have the DEFROSTER or A/C on the clinging stops, but today -- for the first time -- my car died on me as I switched the A/C to OFF (and the clinging began). As I did this my car just died and after about a minute the power came back on. Ever since then my radio has been flashing off and on every so often and the air bag light flashes every once in a while. Could my a/c problem have any correlation with this current electrical problem? Thanks....
